Purple (oral visual literacy:cueing systems)

I like how there are four strong traits the curve towards students in their process of learning how to read. I like those four specific systems that gear towards the development in the early stages of literacy. Sound, form, vocabulary, and purpose are in my opinion perfect systems to work as a foundation for literacy.

I think the system that appeals to me is Grapho-phonemic. I think I appreciate this system because I've seen this system being used in my placement. I noticed this through animated literacy when the teacher was using specifc letters to start her curriculum such a P and U because the idea is not for the students to learn the alphabet but to understand how words sound in order to make words with them. With P and U, the student were able to learn the word 'Pup'. I admired this method becuase it touches on using letters for what there meant for, making words. I think that this system is key for literacy development.
